Inspired by SOHO House

Our first showroom opened in Islington and is still in the same location after 7years. The Islington/Angel area is known for a variety of great restaurants all along Upper Street, Camden Passage and the nearby Exmouth Market. However, an eatery (amongst other things) that has outstanding design is Shoreditch House in east London - not far from our beloved original showroom. The Soho House hotels are a global enterprise, providing folks in the creative industries with beautiful accommodation, as well as spaces to discuss ideas.

Their style is wide-ranging, taking elements from Art Deco, mid-century modern, French style and much more to combine it into a unique, inspiring aesthetic.

The cosy atmosphere which invites you to relax and read a book can be recreated with Camerich’s own Flora lounge chairs in the Brown Walnut finish and the Azure blue leather:

Our Venus Lounge Chair and Lark Side Table is also another example of what would link and match well with the decor of the Soho House Hotels. The Grey Oak Finish on both pieces compliment eachother and the Gravel fabric on the Venus has a neutral warming feel creating the extra comfort and tying in the other shades in the room.

Our Ming chairs paired with our smaller 160cm Vessel tables and simple lighting create a similar look the the dining rooms in the Soho House Hotel. The simple design and curved features create an organic look which flows well within the room. The Pebble leather option on the Ming chairs lighten up the space and give a softer look against the darker wood finish. This tabe also pairs well with our Tess dining chairs in our Canvas Fabric (see below).

The setup of Soho House in Malibu makes great use of natural wood colours and light fabrics, as well as marble. You can recreate this look with our Hanna Carrara Marble dining or coffee tables paired with our Flora Lounge chairs in the Light Oak finish.

Set in the heart of Clerkenwell, amidst the residential townhouses is Bourne & Hollingworth Buildings - a beautiful, light airy and plant-covered restaurant/bar. Their garden room is particularly popular, creating a little cozy haven of plants which (as we all know) is rarely seen in central London. The brightness of the restaurant is a stark contrast to the speakeasy 1920’s inspired parties that they organise. The interior is an eclectic mix of the most modern ideas – such as the white flooring, which makes the reclaimed 30s and 40s furniture stand out in the most pleasant way.

The woven furniture, the garden chairs and the floral large sofas tie in well with the small garden room and almost make you feel like you’ve been transported to a tropical country.

Our Arc lounge chair is perfect for a garden/sun room or conservatory, as the woven back detail is similar to outdoor furniture, but the lounge chair or chaise option is of superior comfort. The above look can also be achieved in our Venus chair and matching footstool in a floral print fabric, which adds the nature element. Our Hanna or Element tables also work well, as the Carrera marble is another natural element in the furnishings.
