Here at Camerich we have noticed the interest in Velvets grow, especially as we extended our Velvet range. We now have a broad range of beautful rich colours. We have three ranges of Velvets all with different codes ‘VELVET, FANCY and LUXE.
Here at Camerich our number one priority is qualitity. It is important to us that every single product is finished to perfection. Due to this, The ‘VELVET' and 'FANCY' range have limitations on what items they can be upholstered in. one of our team can assist you with further information on this if you ever wanted to go for either of these two beautiful ranges. For the LUXE Velvets every soft furnish item can be upholstered in this range.
If you didn’t want to have a whole sofa in a velvet, then upholstering a lounge chair or a footstool in a colourful velvet can create a gorgeous accent piece within a room. Then adding the same coloured cushions to the sofa or bed within the room ties everything together.

Velvet is a material that first became the glamourous trend back in the 1980’s both in fashion and interiors. Since then it has floated in and out of trend and now as recently quoted by the independent could be known as the ‘trans-seasonal fabric choice in interior schemes all over the world.’ Velvet makes any colour look rich and deep in texture. Since this trend is burgeoning in popularity we thought it was the perfect time to introduce you to the velvet range we offer.
So how do you add velvet effectively to your home?
If you want to go all out, you of course can upholster a whole sofa or bed frame the velvets. The smooth texture of the velvet makes the clean lines of the furniture stand out and become a statement of the room. Upholstering the item in jewelled tones such as a burnt orange or a Navy creates a darker atmosphere which makes the room look elegant but also warm and inviting. To complement the velvet, add cushions and other furniture items in neutral colours, alternatively, metallic finishes would also work well.
Adding cushions in velvets to sofas adds another texture, which creates a new look and also makes the sofa look cosy, which is great for Autumn which is just around the corner.
If you wanted to see the Camerich velvet range, you can order from our swatches page or come in to any of our showrooms where we have samples and also items on display which are upholstered in velvet.
